In our jiawei new energy manufacturer, 18650 lithium ion battery production process segmentation steps are as follows:
The first aspect is electrical grade manufacturing, where the positive and negative electrode materials of
18650 lithium batteries are mixed before coating to ensure the uniformity of the slurry.
Positive electrode materials include active substances, such as NMC622, polymer adhesive PVdF, solvent NMP
and conductive additives (such as carbon), while cathode materials include active substances
(including graphite or graphite + silicon), conductive materials (such as carbon black) and polymer adhesives (including carboxymethyl cellulose, CMC);
18650 The positive and negative electrodes of the lithium battery are respectively covered in the continuous coating process.
The metal oxide of the lithium ion battery in the positive electrode is applied to the aluminum electric level,
and the polymer adhesive makes the positive and negative electrode coating adhere to the copper and aluminum electrode respectively;
The electrodes to be applied are immediately dried, using a convective air dryer for a continuous drying process,
during which the solvent will be recovered;
The electrodes were then calendered to achieve a controlled thickness and porosity.The second aspect is the battery assembly,
18650 lithium battery to cut the electrode to match the width of the final size of the battery;
Dry the electrode again before the 18650 lithium battery assembly to remove all the solvent content and reduce the free water ppm;
The electrode is then cut into a final shape, including the label for the electrode. In the cylindrical battery,
the anode and the diaphragm are wound into a spiral shape, for the soft-pack battery, the electric stages are stacked into:
anode, diaphragm, cathode, diaphragm, anode, diaphragm, etc.;
Then the terminal is welded to connect the anode to the negative terminal, and the cathode to the positive terminal;
Finally, put the tank or package, and use the electrode as a roll or stack in a can or soft package.
The third aspect is the completion of the battery. The 18650 lithium battery injects the dry battery into the electrolyte,
creates a partial vacuum in the battery, and delivers a predetermined amount of the electrolyte into the battery,
and part of the vacuum helps the distribution of the electrolyte and the wetting of all layers.
The above steps involve the precise control of the material, the uniform coating of the electrode, the uniformity
and solvent recovery during the drying process, the precise cutting and stacking of the electrode,
and the precise injection of the electrolyte. Each step requires strict quality control to ensure the performance
and safety of the 18650 lithium battery.
